Scrum - Certified ScrumMaster - Curriculum
The first part of the course serves as foundational training, which equips you to begin practicing Scrum. You'll cover the following topics:
- Key Principles to Understanding Agile & Scrum
- Basic Scrum Engine
- Scrum Roles: Product Owner, ScrumMaster, Scrum Development Team
- Scrum Meetings: Sprint Planning Meeting, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review Meeting, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Maintenance Meeting
- Scrum Artifacts: Product Backlog, Product Backlog Item, Sprint Backlog, Burndowns
- User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Estimation and Value
- Multi-Team Development
- Release Planning
- Organizational Impediments
- Question & Answer
Scrum Workshop
Then we move on to exercises designed to offer a practical understanding and refinement of the product backlog and user stories. You'll get a a solid foundation for successful Scrum utilisation.
You'll be given a product vision and high-level product backlog meant to drive the development of a real-life scaled Scrum organisation. You'll then each take on the roles of business owner, product owner, ScrumMaster and team members in a mock release planning session and subsequent sprint planning meetings. We'll address epic breakdown, vertical slices of functionality, acceptance criteria for both business and technical requirements, and assigning business value and effort estimates.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Firebrand on the 14 day MCSE Windows 2003 course. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, the training centre clean and functional, and the amenities in the hotel good.
Each day was a mixture of lecture, lab, and self study.
